About Artwork

In this piece, I aim to convey the negative feelings one goes through during the break up of a relationship. The green colour used symbolizes the toxicity that one encounters when experiencing peripeteia while exiting a dysfunctional relationship. To express that feeling even further, I have used snake- like figures and a subtle red colour to allude to the story of Adam and Eve, where Eve entices Adam into eating a poisonous apple that eventually kills them both. In a nutshell, I am portraying one in “exile” from one’s partner.
